ABC’s brand new TV series this fall, Pan-Am, has been attracting positive critiques. With as much as 11 Million watchers during the course of its pilot episode in the United States, and with only a few weeks left until Halloween night, lots of women are inclined to show up at Halloween parties in a stewardess outfit.
The great part about this Halloween outfit is that it does not involve as much make-up or clothes as other Halloween costumes. In addition, choosing to wear a stewardess outfit would definitely catch lots of attention
at a party without being too wicked or too demented.
Stewardess Halloween costumes are very beautiful thanks to the three main components of the uniform. Their basic uniform, which typically includes a skirt and a top, a scarf, and their infamous hat.
Now for the accessories, the scarf is typically made out of sheer cloth and is relatively thinner and shorter than scarves worn during cold seasons. These beautiful scarves also typically have a brilliant color such as red, blue, and so on.
Whatever the color is, the scarf usually goes well with the general theme of the uniform. The signature hat on the other hand might be a somewhat more hard to find in a woman’s wardrobe. These can be easily obtained from a popular department store and typically go with the color of the uniform as well. It really depends on the individual whether or not she desires these accessories to match up to the color of the uniform or have them in contrast with one another.
An important and frequently overlooked accessory is the stewardess “wings” pin. In Pan Am, Ms. Christina Ricci alongside her stewardess co-workers are seen wearing these unique pins, which was a standard for the stewardesses during the Sixties. Having this pin is important in trying to bring back the 1960s era of stewardesses.
Another very important stewardess Halloween costume detail is the make-up and hair. Stewardesses are known to be very groomed and orderly when it comes to their overall appearance. Although the 60s are very well known for voluminous or “bouffant” hair, buns and a simple ponytail can work just as well. As for the make-up, a simple red lipstick can do the trick even without eye shadow and minimal blush. What’s important is to keep the neatness and maintain the subtlety of becoming a flight attendant.
Thanks to the Pan Am Airlines TV series the stewardess outfit will definitely be popular once again this Halloween night. Now all a woman needs is to have the right 60s determination as portrayed by Christina Ricci and the rest of the cast.
