Theme Parties
Parties with costumes are so entertaining. You’ll find they fit perfectly with holiday parties, company gatherings, block parties, and even family reunions. Costume parties can be held with so many different fun and unique themes in mind. Our neighborhood has a costume party every year and we always choose to run a particular theme for the party. This seems to be more fun than regular costume parties because everybody has a costume that fits in with the costumes of the other guests.
Our medieval warrior theme party was a great success last year. Guests got to wear neat looking armors, shields, swords, axes, and knives. This party was so much fun to attend. I dressed up in a Roman armor costume and carried a shield and javelin with me. I even purchased a nice pair of leather sandals to round off the costume.
There were Vikings, Spartans, Trojans, and even English noblemen and women attending the party with me. My friend Bill dressed up like one of the legendary immortals. It took me ten minutes to figure out that it was him behind his mask. Stacy, his wife, dressed up like an ancient gladiator. Carrying a large battle axe and a wicked looking spiky helmet, she didn’t look like a peaceful school teacher at all.
Theme parties are much better for getting people to talk to each other since everybody immediately has something in common. Other large neighborhood parties tend to be boring because people don’t know each other and become too shy to interact.
Costumes have become so easy to buy that it doesn’t make sense for anybody to have a party that does not involve costumes. Costumes can be bought through many avenues including: second hand stores, local costume shops, Internet retailers, and even department stores.
If you buy from a store like www.historicalclothingrealm.com , you’ll never even have to leave your house. They’ll send the costume right to your house and you’ll be able to try it on in the comfort of your own home. You’ll find a multitude of medieval armor and clothing to buy at this web site.
When you buy on the Internet you’ll be able to find costumes that aren’t locally available. Your friends and family members will be buying from the local stores, and if you do the same you risk buying the same costume as them. Doesn’t it make sense to purchase a unique costume from Historical Clothing Realm?
